Trees...

I love trees so much. I love watching them blow in the breeze, planting them, seeing them grow, pruning them, watching their leaves and fruit bud, walking beneath them, sitting underneath them, and drawing and painting them. I feel this spiritual connection to trees.  I love to watch the shadows change as the wind blows their leaves, to look up through the canopy to the sky... Sometimes, truth be told, I actually hug and kiss them...  

I'm putting in part of a group bid for a big mural project, and praying that it goes through so I can be part of this amazing group artwork! It would really bring joy and beauty and peace to so many people! So here's the start of my sketch for one part of my portion of this mural! They asked for something to bring hope and peace - and I thought of a tree blowing in the wind, of course!!!  Wind, spirit, breath, nooma, ruah... the Holy Spirit or life force that animates and unites us...
